The IEEE is encouraging members to apply for the next rank above Member grade - Senior Member. It is easy to do and does not increase IEEE membership fees. The main requirements are 10 years of experience in engineering (college degrees count for part of this experience) and three references from Senior Members or Fellows. The Melbourne section has initiated a program to help our members become Senior Members. We will nominate qualified candidates and help them obtain references.
